Twenty-five years ago, Andrew got bit hard by the travel bug when he took his first trip abroad, backpacking around Europe for 6 months. Eventually, he took the big plunge and in 2014 he moved to Slovenia, the charming Alpine/Balkan/Mediterranean country where east meets west.
Andrew has been leading & organizing tours for the past 20 years. He loves to champion countries and regions that many travelers have yet to explore. His three favorite aspects of traveling are sampling the local cuisine and wine, sharing travel escapades with other travelers and hanging out with the locals.
Gábor grew up in the Hungarian countryside that he left as soon as he turned 18 to spend a few years traveling the world. He has lived in France, Spain, Washington DC, New York city and also on board a cruise ship in the Caribbean. He loves languages, books, wine and he (usually) loves being an entrepreneur. He has been working in the wine and tourism business since 2008.
Gábor and his wife run Taste Hungary, a group of small businesses that include a tasting cellar and wine shop in Budapest, a tourism company organizing food and wine tours in Hungary and Eastern Europe and a small import company based in the US to supply our American friends with their favorite Hungarian bottles.
